William Ruto Injured, Daughter Dies In Road Crash

A tragic road accident involving Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Ports Authority William Ruto, has claimed the life of his daughter, while other family members survived and are receiving treatment.
In a statement, KPA’s Corporate Communication Division said the accident occurred on Friday evening as he travelled with his family, confirming the daughter died while others survived the crash.
The authority said Captain Ruto and his family are in stable condition and under close medical supervision, and expressed hope for their quick and full recovery from injuries sustained.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to Capt. Ruto and his family during this difficult time,” KPA’s Corporate Communication Division said.
The authority appealed for privacy for the family during the mourning period, urging the public and media to respect their space as they come to terms with the loss.
It acknowledged support from Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and Taita Taveta Governor Andrew Mwadime for their swift assistance following the accident.
The division also thanked staff, partners, stakeholders and the public for their support, patience and cooperation during the unfolding situation and recovery process.
KPA said it is working with relevant agencies to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
