Digital strategist and political commentator Pauline Njoroge has fiercely responded to online backlash following a photo of her with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at a church event in Nyahururu, Laikipia County. The image sparked heated debate, with some critics accusing her of political betrayal and tribalism.

In a lengthy statement on her social media platforms, Njoroge dismissed the criticism, affirming her unwavering support for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the 2022 elections while clarifying her current political stance.

“I supported Baba Raila Odinga in 2022 because I genuinely believed he was the better candidate compared to Ruto, a position I still hold to this day. But that love and support is not transferable. It was for Baba, not for anyone else he may choose to support if I’m not aligned with them,” Pauline said.

Pauline revealed that she had stepped back from engaging with the current administration due to what she termed as “governance failures.” She further announced her endorsement of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i for the 2027 presidency, describing him as a leader capable of delivering “far more effective and progressive leadership.”

The political commentator also defended her interactions with opposition figures, including DP Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Martha Karua, stating that her engagements were part of a broader push for a better Kenya.

“I am Pauline. I will always follow my heart and stand by what I believe is right, unapologetically,” she declared.

Her remarks have ignited fresh debate online, with supporters applauding her independence while critics question her shifting alliances. As the 2027 political landscape takes shape, Pauline’s stance signals a growing realignment within Kenya’s opposition circles.
