Nakuru is in for a delicious dose of fun, trivia, and laughter this weekend as the wildly popular Quiz ‘n’ Cakes event makes its way out of Nairobi for the very first time. The fourth edition of the family-friendly show lands at Hotel Waterbuck, next to Westside Mall, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 6pm.
The brains behind the event, Fred Omond, also known as Freddie BudaBoss, the celebrated TV personality and creative mind, says Nakuru is about to witness a quiz night like no other.
“This is more than just a quiz. It’s a live experience packed with comedy, creativity, cake, and cash,” he told journalists in Nakuru on Tuesday.
At its core, Quiz ‘n’ Cakes is about good, clean fun. Picture this: live trivia games, hilarious comedy acts, energetic music performances, and yes, actual cake. “This is our first time outside Nairobi and we chose Nakuru because the energy here is unmatched. We’re giving people a fun escape, and possibly walking away with something in their pockets too,” BudaBoss said.
