Nakuru Gets 11th Shell Outlet As Vivo Energy Expands

Motorists in Nakuru are set to benefit from expanded fuel and retail services after Vivo Energy Kenya opened its 350th Shell service station, bringing together fuel, shopping, dining and other convenience services under one location.
The new Shell Basic 58 service station is the eleventh Shell outlet in Nakuru, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in one of Kenya’s fastest-growing commercial centres while expanding access to integrated retail and mobility services.
Speaking during the launch, Vivo Energy Executive Vice President for Retail and Commercial Business Arnaud Guichard said the new facility reflects the company’s long-term expansion strategy and commitment to supporting Kenya’s economic development through continued investment.
“The launch of this service station symbolizes our enduring commitment to Kenya’s growth story. Each new location strengthens our presence across this vibrant country, creating jobs and supporting local economies,” he said.
The company said the service station has been designed to offer motorists a convenient one-stop destination by combining fuel services with retail, dining and other essential amenities to meet evolving customer needs.
Vivo Energy Kenya Managing Director Peter Murungi said the facility also demonstrates the company’s strategy of partnering with local enterprises to strengthen businesses while enhancing customer convenience through integrated commercial services.
“Shell Basic 58 service station demonstrates how we partner with local brands as we continuously fuel the economy of our country. At this service station, we will partner with various brands including Quickmart Supermarket, a brand that originated from Nakuru. We are not only opening a service station here at section 58, but also strengthening a home-grown partnership,” he stated.
Customers can already access Quickmart supermarket, while Good Life Pharmacy, Chicken Inn and Pizza Inn are expected to open soon, transforming the facility into a comprehensive retail destination for motorists and nearby residents.
