Kiongozi Sam Mburu Eulogizes Blogger Elijah Kinyanjui

First Gentleman Sam Mburu has eulogized Nakuru-based blogger and journalist Elijah Kinyanjui Wakibara as a passionate communicator whose work has left a lasting mark on public discourse in Nakuru County and beyond.

In a condolence message shared on social media, Mr Mburu mourned Kinyanjui as a figure who used digital platforms to inform, connect and influence communities across the county.

Kinyanjui, who was widely known in Nakuru’s political and social circles as “Master”, died on Thursday evening while undergoing treatment for pneumonia at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital, PGH.

“Rest In Peace; Elijah Kinyanjui Wakibara aka Master. You have impacted lives in communication within and beyond Nakuru,” Mr Mburu said.

The vocal blogger, journalist and online commentator was actively involved in public conversations on governance, social justice and community affairs.

He was regarded as one of the pioneers of political WhatsApp engagement and digital mobilisation in Nakuru, building online platforms that attracted a significant following and shaped local public discourse over the years.

“May your family and friends find comfort in this difficult time. Till we meet again; Rest In Eternal Peace,” he stated.

Kinyanjui’s death has triggered an outpouring of grief from journalists, politicians, activists and residents across Nakuru County, many of whom have praised his fearless commentary and dedication to keeping the public informed.

Friends and family members are meeting from 6:30 pm at the Nakuru Athletics Club to plan funeral arrangements.
