Nakuru politician and philanthropist Maina Wakabura has reminisced about his youthful days when he toiled at the Nakuru Wakulima Market to earn a living.
He said it was at the wholesale market where his entrepreneurship journey started and where so many fond memories of the place were made.
“I returned to the market very dear to my heart not just to reconnect with familiar faces but to support a cause close to my heart,” he stated.
During his visit, he also attended a fundraiser for medical support for Mama Ayub’s husband. Mama Ayub is a renowned trader at the market.
Maina said he believes in the power of community and standing together during challenging moments.
He urged the traders and residents of Nakuru Town East to continue supporting the family in this difficult time.
Maina’s regular presence at religious, social, and community events in Nakuru Town East reflects his close ties with residents and his continued support for local families.
“Together, we can make a meaningful impact,” he noted with a strong sense of unity and leadership.
Maina is a frontrunner for the Nakuru Town East parliamentary seat in the 2027 general elections.
