A Nairobi motorist was early today robbed of his vehicle and personal items in a violent attack near the National Museum.

The victim, Kishan Sachania, was driving his Nissan B12 from Ngara Road towards Kipande Road at about 2:30am when three men confronted him.

One of the attackers approached the driver’s side, grabbed him by the collar through the open window and pointed what looked like a gun at him.

He then forced the door open, pulled him out and joined his accomplices inside the car. They sped off.

The vehicle had a Toshiba laptop valued at Sh80,000, a Samsung A30s phone worth Sh28,000 and a duffle bag with clothes and other personal items.

Disoriented and stranded, Mr Sachania walked to Lower Gimkana, where a security guard assisted him. He was later escorted to Hotel Boulevard for safety.

Police say the matter is under investigation. DCI officers in Parklands are pursuing the suspects and working to recover the stolen vehicle and belongings.
