Popular Luo musician Javan Mac Ajudo and members of his crew were earlier today involved in a fatal road accident at Harambee Market in Nyakach, along the Katito–Kendu Bay route.

The crash involved a vehicle carrying the musician and his team, which knocked down a boda boda rider who died at the scene.

Witnesses said the vehicle was travelling at high speed before the impact. Some residents alleged that the occupants appeared intoxicated, though this has not been independently verified.

“One moment the car was speeding, the next it hit the boda boda rider and people started screaming,” said an eyewitness who was at the market when the accident occurred.

Following the incident, angry residents attempted to confront the occupants of the vehicle, prompting intervention to prevent mob justice.

Police officers arrived at the scene and secured the occupants as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash began.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement on the condition of the musician and his crew or confirmed the allegations surrounding the incident.
