A section of Kenyan workers has endorsed Dr Isaac Newton Kinity for the presidency in 2027, describing him as a principled leader with a strong record of fighting corruption and defending workers’ rights.

The group, drawn from various parts of the country, made the endorsement during a meeting held in Ruiru, Murang’a County, on October 31, 2025. They said Dr Kinity had consistently spoken out against social injustices and impunity in Kenya.

Mr Patrick Irungu Maina, who chaired the meeting, said the workers were convinced Dr Kinity had the integrity and courage needed to lead the country.

“We believe Dr Kinity is a man who can defend the people and cannot be compromised,” Mr Maina said.

Mr Mackanthony Ombaye, who represented Dr Kinity at the meeting, noted that participants had unanimously agreed to back his presidential bid, saying Kenyans were ready for honest and accountable leadership.

“We agreed that Dr Kinity should come home and contest the presidency so that we can save this country from corruption and poor governance,” he said.

Other speakers at the meeting praised Dr Kinity for his decades of advocacy for workers and transparency, expressing confidence that his leadership would mark a new chapter for the country.

Dr Kinity, a former Secretary-General of the Kenya Civil Servants Union, has for years been an outspoken critic of corruption and misuse of public resources. He currently serves on the United States Presidential Advisory Committee, where he continues to champion democracy, accountability, and good governance.
