Reports of instant healings took centre stage on the opening day of the Menengai 8, as thousands of believers gathered at Menengai Grounds in Nakuru City.
The crusade, led by Prophet Dr David Owuor, drew crowds from across the country and internationally, with congregants filling the expansive Menengai Grounds to capacity.
From early afternoon into the evening, testimonies of healing dominated the gathering, with individuals said to have been healed of various ailments amid scenes of jubilation.
Witnesses reported that several people with physical disabilities stood up and walked unaided after prayers, prompting loud ululations from the crowd.
Others suffering from blindness and hearing impairments were also presented before the main podium as pastors guided them through the densely packed congregation.
“There is too much anointing here,” Dr Owuor declared as the healing testimonies continued, drawing cheers from the assembled faithful.
One after another, those said to have received healing were ushered to the podium, as the crowd followed the proceedings with chants and prayers.
The atmosphere remained charged throughout the day, with organizers terming the opening session one of the most momentous gatherings ever held in Nakuru.
Security was visibly heightened around the grounds and the main dais, with officers deployed to manage the large crowds and ensure order during the service.
The mega healing crusade continues on its second day on Tomorrow, after which an international pastors’ conference is scheduled to take place over the next two days.
